If Safari reports that it can’t load the Flip4Mac WMV Plugin, try removing Flip4Mac WMV Plugin.webplugin.plugin from the Library/Internet Plugins folder.  Flip4Mac should play your pages fine with the QuickTime controllers embedded into your page  If you still have a problem, make sure that your WMV files are associated with the WMV Player (Get Info and Open With).
