Attendees at the Final Cut Pro Users Group Network at NAB to Receive Free Flip4Mac WMV Player Software
New Flip4Mac WMV player component provides first true Mac-like experience for playing Windows Media on the Mac
Nevada City, Calif., April 11, 2005 – Telestream, the provider of Flip4Mac Digital Media Tools for the Macintosh, today announced that all attendees at the Final Cut Pro Users Group Network at NAB will receive a FREE Windows Media player component for QuickTime. The Flip4Mac plug-in enables Mac OS X users to open and play Windows Media video and audio files in the QuickTime player, providing the industry's first true Mac-like experience for playing Windows Media on the Mac. The Final Cut Pro Users Group Network is being held Wednesday, April 20 at the Stardust Hotel Conference Center in Las Vegas. Coupons will be distributed to all attendees at the event registration area for the free Flip4mac software.
“The Final Cut Pro event is a great way for us to share our exciting news with Mac users,” said Barbara DeHart, Flip4Mac program manager at Telestream. “With the Flip4Mac player, Mac users get it all. Their viewing choices are expanded to include both SD and HD Windows Media, and they gain single player access to more media types, all with the QuickTime player experience they love.”
The giveaway celebrates Telestream's NAB introduction of the Flip4Mac WMV Player. Additional new offerings in the expanded Flip4Mac WMV family will enable Mac users to make, edit, and play Windows Media files directly on their Macs. Flip4Mac eliminates the challenges of multiple steps and software packages previously required to make, edit and play Windows Media on a Mac.
The entire new family of Flip4Mac WMV products will be demonstrated at the Final Cut Pro Users Network Wednesday, April 20, from 6:30 to 9:30 PM at the Stardust, and at the NAB convention, April 18-21, in Telestream booth SU11404 in the South Hall upper level.
