What does the Image Server Component do?
The Image Server Component is a QuickTime component and Final Cut Pro plug-in that allows users to move to a file-based media workflow when ingesting from and exporting to 360 Systems' Image Server MAXX servers. File transfer over a Gigabit Ethernet connection provides the fastest import of content possible.

Now Macintosh users can benefit from an all-digital, file-based media workflow between Final Cut Pro editing systems and the new generation Image Server MAXX servers from 360 Systems. Ingest content to Apple's Final Cut Pro real-time editing software using the Flip4Mac Image Server Component.

The Flip4Mac component provides direct ingest from Image Servers, enabling editing of MPEG-2 content in IMX format. The Flip4Mac Component places a .mov file directly into your project bin. File transfer is performed over a Gigabit Ethernet connection for fast transfer of media files.

With the Flip4Mac component, users can browse Image Server directories and import files directly from their Mac. Now you can get the clips your want, when you want them—right to your Final Cut Pro project bin.

With the Flip4Mac component on your Mac and 360 Systems' IMX option, MPEG-2 file transfers are easily done with any new Image Server MAXX 250, MAXX 400, MAXX 6T, or MAXX 2400.
